Job summary

Techstra Solutions in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to advance enterprise data governance, maintain glossaries and catalogs, and improve data quality. The role collaborates with business stakeholders, data owners, stewards, and IT to define data elements and lineage and to promote governance practices.

The ideal candidate has a Master’s in a relevant field and 4–6 years of hands-on governance experience, with strong SQL skills and experience in Agile environments.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in information systems, data analytics, CS, or similar.
• 4–6 years in data governance, data management, BI, or data quality.
• Strong SQL for data validation and analysis.
• Experience documenting data definitions, lineage, and ownership.
• Familiar with governance frameworks and metadata management.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise data governance initiatives with stakeholders.
• Maintain enterprise business glossary, data catalog, and metadata repositories.
• Define and document critical data elements, definitions, and lineage.
• Monitor and analyze data quality metrics; coordinate remediation.
• Participate in governance councils; document decisions and actions.
• Help establish governance policies, standards, and procedures.
• Perform data profiling and validation to identify quality issues.
• Support MDM and reference data initiatives.
• Create reports, dashboards, and presentations on governance metrics.
• Promote data literacy and governance best practices.
