Job summary

TEKsystems in Denver, CO is seeking a data governance professional for a contract role focused on data use governance within security and technology risk. You will work with stakeholders to clarify requirements, govern data used in reporting, analytics, and regulatory processes, and coordinate with technical teams to ensure data quality and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Data Use Governance within an Information Security, Cybersecurity, Technology Risk, or other complex technology organization.
• Knowledge of Data Management industry standards, best practices, data management policies, data standards, and governance operating models.
• Experience governing data used in critical reporting, risk metrics, regulatory reporting, analytics, or operational decision-making.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI data use reviews, including business-purpose validation, sourcing, lineage, metadata, Data Quality, and enhanced Approval requirements.
• Experience with enterprise metadata repositories, data catalogs, data lineage tools, or registry solutions.
• Experience with Jira, SharePoint, or comparable workflow and evidence-management tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Data-management or governance certification, such as Certified Data Management Professional, or comparable professional credentials.

Responsibilities

• Self-directed governance across data use initiatives with limited supervision.
• Identify gaps, ask follow-up questions, and bring clarity to data requests.
• Coordinate governance activities with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Influence data-quality and metadata practices for reporting and analytics.
• Support AI/GenAI data-use reviews, including lineage and metadata considerations.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.06 - $59.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
