Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a contract professional in Chicago, IL to support Data Use Governance within a complex tech environment. You will work with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure governance, metadata, and data quality across critical reporting components.

The role requires strong communication, governance ownership, and the ability to drive structured next steps on ambiguous data initiatives. Onsite work and competitive hourly pay are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Data Use Governance within a security or technology risk organization.
• Knowledge of data management standards, policies, and governance models.
• Experience governing data for reporting, risk metrics, regulatory reporting, analytics, or decision-making.
• Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI data-use reviews including metadata and data quality.
• Experience with enterprise metadata repos, data catalogs, or lineage tools.
• Experience with Jira or SharePoint and evidence-management tools.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Data-management governance certification or credentials.

Qualifications

Experience supporting Data Use Governance within an Information Security, Cybersecurity, Technology Risk, or other complex technology organization.

Knowledge of Data Management industry standards, best practices, data management policies, data standards, and governance operating models.

Experience governing data used in critical reporting, risk metrics, regulatory reporting, analytics, or operational decision-making.

Experience supporting AI/ML or GenAI data use reviews, including business-purpose validation, sourcing, lineage, metadata, Data Quality, and enhanced approval requirements.

Experience with enterprise metadata repositories, data catalogs, data lineage tools, or registry solutions.

Experience with Jira, SharePoint, or comparable workflow and evidence-management tools.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

Data-management or governance certification, such as Certified Data Management Professional, or comparable professional credentials.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.06 - $59.86/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
