Job summary

Katmai Government Services at Camp Lejeune seeks a data entry specialist to transcribe data from diverse source documents using alphanumeric keyboards. Work is routine, with supervision and defined procedures; you will resolve irregularities at supervisory level.

Requirements include two years of data entry experience on Simulation & Training systems, an associates degree in applied science (or equivalent experience), proficiency with Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in data entry on Simulation & Training systems
• Associates degree in an applied science. In lieu of degree, relevant work experience may be substituted on a year for year basis
• Skilled in operating an alphanumeric keyboard
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DIBs card to access Camp LeJeune and other military facilities
• Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks
• Understanding of transcribing procedures and relevant data entry equipment
• Intermediate computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft software (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint)
• Ability to multi-task

Responsibilities

• Works under close supervision and follows specific procedures or detailed instructions
• Works from various standardized source documents that have been coded and requires little or no selecting, coding, or interpreting of data
• Maintains regular and punctual attendance
• Performs other duties as assigned
