Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of experience, or master’s degree and 4 years in institutional research, business analytics, data science, or a related field.
• Ability to query, manipulate, and analyze complex datasets.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to present complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau and Microsoft Power BI (or similar).
• Experience with data querying languages such as SQL.
• Proficiency in Python coding.
• Experience working with APIs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams.
• Equivalency statement: 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).

• Data Engineer, IV: Bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 8 years, or Master’s (or equivalency) + 6 years of directly related work experience.
• Data Engineer, V: Bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 10 years, or Master’s (or equivalency) + 8 years of directly related work experience.
