Faith Technologies Incorporated (FTI) is seeking a Data Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers and deliver modern data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high‑performing team of Data Engineers.
- Provide expert guidance on analytical techniques, ETL/ELT patterns, project planning, and complex problem‑solving.
- Conduct performance reviews and one‑on‑one meetings to ensure team growth.
- Identify and recommend professional development opportunities for the team.
- Plan, execute, and deliver data infrastructure projects aligned with FTI’s business objectives.
- Partner with leadership across departments to translate business needs into technical roadmaps.
- Define project scope, timelines, and key performance indicators while leading medium to large projects.
- Present data insights, architectural recommendations, and project status to leadership clearly.
- Design, develop, and maintain secure data pipelines to transfer data from various sources to a data mart or lakehouse.
- Develop integrations with SaaS applications such as Acumatica, Workday, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
- Implement and monitor data quality checks to identify and rectify inconsistencies.
- Administer and optimize databases to ensure maximum availability, performance, and security.
- Diagnose and resolve data‑related issues promptly to minimize system downtime.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of direct work experience in data engineering, software development, or a related role.
- Management Experience: Minimum of 2+ years leading and managing a team of technology professionals.
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, PowerShell, R, or Scala.
- Database Skills: Strong experience with SQL and relational databases such as MS‑SQL; familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or CosmosDB.
- Data Visualization: Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
- Cloud Platforms: Experience working with Azure, GCP, or Databricks.
- Big Data Technologies: Hands‑on experience with Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka.
- Other Skills: Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
Additional Requirements
- Travel: 0–10%.
- Work Schedule: Typical hours 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday; flexible schedule required.
