Mastercard Inc. is offering a Data Engineering Intern position for Summer 2027 in San Francisco, CA.

The program emphasizes hands-on project work, mentorship, and professional development while building scalable data products for Commerce Media and Offers teams. Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor's or accelerated Master’s with expected graduation between late 2027 and mid-2028 and have coursework or experience in Python, data pipelines, and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Databricks.

Competenze

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or accelerated Master's degree with an anticipated graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Previous internship in software development, data engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Python through coursework, projects, internships, or personal initiatives.
• Familiarity with data engineering concepts and building data pipelines or workloads using cloud-based platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Databricks.
• Exposure to distributed data processing frameworks, with experience using PySpark considered a plus.
• Understanding of AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, or model deployment processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• This role is not eligible for Mastercard’s work authorization sponsorship.
