Job summary

Simon in Indianapolis is offering a Data Engineering Intern position to help build data models, pipelines, semantic models and dashboards used by the business. You will work hands-on with real SQL, ship actual models and present outcomes to stakeholders.

You'll collaborate with data engineers, data scientists and BI developers to turn raw data from marketing, leasing, operations into clean, trusted datasets.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a data-related field (e.g., Data Analytics, IS, CS).
• Solid knowledge of SQL (joins, aggregations, window functions).
• Python experience for data manipulation and scripting.
• Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker) through coursework or projects.

Responsibilities

• Build data pipelines to connect to and ingest data from multiple sources.
• Develop and document data models in Fabric and Snowflake environments.
• Profile source data, investigate discrepancies, and improve quality.
• Collaborate with analysts to translate business questions into datasets.
• Develop dashboards and reports in Power BI as needed.
• Present project findings to the Data & Analytics team.
