You will join a collaborative team building data pipelines and working with congressional, lobbying, and public policy datasets. The ideal candidate is an undergraduate CS/CE/Data Science student with basic Python and SQL, familiarity with PostgreSQL/OpenSearch, AWS, ETL concepts,

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in CS/CE/Data Science.
• Basic Python knowledge.
• Basic SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with data cleaning and transformation concepts.
• Interest in U.S. congressional processes and legislative data.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and/or OpenSearch.
• Coursework or exposure to AI/LLMs and NLP concepts.
• Familiarity with AWS.
• Understanding of ETL concepts.
• Exposure to APIs or web data extraction.
• Academic or practical knowledge of U.S. Congress, legislation, or public policy.
• Hands‑on experience with real‑world legislative data and cross‑functional product teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building data pipelines.
• Write and optimize SQL queries.
• Support data transformation and validation tasks.
• Work with datasets related to Congress, legislation, hearings, and lobbying data.
• Support AI workflows for data engineering.
• Collaborate with the team to improve data quality and documentation.
