Travelers is seeking a Data Engineering Director in Hartford, CT to accelerate analytics via scalable data platforms. You will lead teams, design data products, and partner across the enterprise to enable AI, ML and BI initiatives.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in data engineering, 2+ years in management, and hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0, Python, and SQL. You will mentor engineers and shape data strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent.
• 6+ years of data engineering experience.
• 2+ years of management experience leading technical teams.
• Strong experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Data Vault 2.0, Python, SQL.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of analytic data products including pilots and proofs of concept.
• Execute data strategies aligned with enterprise architecture and platforms.
• Automate and operationalize capabilities for secure scalable solutions.
• Present analyses to influence management decisions and strategy.
• Mentor and develop engineers to accelerate their careers.
