Job summary

Insight Global in The Woodlands, TX seeks a Data Engineering Specialist to join the Operational Excellence team on an ongoing contract with annual extension. The role combines data mining, integration, and visualization (Power BI) to turn complex datasets into business insights for operations.

The candidate will work with SAP, SQL, and LMS data, applying AI and workflow automation to speed analytics while collaborating with IT and Operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
• 5+ years in data analytics, BI, or related field.
• Oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience with SAP data structures and reporting environments.
• Certifications in analytics platforms are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with teams to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
• Design and maintain Power BI dashboards and visualizations.
• Integrate and analyze data from SAP, SQL, LMS and other sources.
• Ensure data quality and reporting reliability.
• Leverage AI tools and automation to improve analytics delivery.
• Collaborate with IT to support data and automation initiatives.
• Translate technical findings into clear business recommendations.
• Support multiple concurrent projects and deadlines.
