Job summary

Southern California Edison seeks a Data Engineering Advisor to lead the Grid Data Platform, enabling Grid modernization, operational intelligence, data-driven decisions, and AI adoption. You will guide data pipelines, warehouses, and data models while ensuring governance and security.

This hybrid role requires California residence with up to 20% travel across the SCE territory. You will collaborate with Grid Operations, Asset Management, Cybersecurity, IT, and enterprise data teams to implement

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree as listed in the qualifications.
Seven or more years of experience in data processing large data sets with transformation, aggregation and filtering.

Responsibilities

Manages and scales data pipelines from multiple sources to support new product launches and drive data quality.
Facilitates data acquisition, extraction, normalization, transformation, management and manipulation of large data sets.
Keeps abreast of data engineering techniques and promotes best practices, standards and guidelines.
Works with subject matter experts to design data models and pipelines for applications.
Provides governance and oversight of data assets and data environments.
