Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking a Data Engineer, Wearables & IoT Analytics to advance companion animal sensor analytics and data innovation. In this hybrid Topeka-based role, you will own end-to-end data pipelines across cloud platforms, transform multi-source wearable data into AI-ready datasets, and enable data-driven product decisions.

Collaborating with vendors and research teams, you will shape scalable architectures and governance for reliable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• 4+ years of relevant work experience in data engineering, data science, or analytics.
• Experience in data analysis, cleansing, integration and building data pipelines in cloud environments (preferably GCP) using SQL and Python or R.
• Experience with time-series or sensor data and multi-source study data.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, build, and maintenance of scalable, automated data pipelines across cloud and enterprise platforms (BigQuery, Snowflake, SAP) using Python and workflow orchestration tools to deliver clean, model-ready datasets.
• Partner with clinical, claims, and nutrition teams to integrate wearable sensor data with study datasets, harmonizing endpoints and logic to support claim substantiation and analyses.
• Serve as the primary technical contact for third-party device manufacturers and data vendors, managing handoff specifications, SLAs, data quality standards, and cloud storage optimization.
• Organize unstructured time-series and behavioral datasets into versioned structures with data lineage and governance for ML models.
