Job summary

BigBear.ai seeks a Data Engineer to design, implement, and operate data management systems for intelligence needs. The role focuses on data storage, access, usage, and integration across data regimes and digital systems. You will collaborate with data users to create optimal architectures and pipelines.

The position is based in Washington, DC, or Aurora, CO, and involves working on a new DoW customer program at ground level. A CI poly and DoD/IC experience are valued.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with poly (or ability to obtain a poly).
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 3–8 years of data engineering analysis experience; 4 extra years may substitute education.
• Experience with data engineering tools (SQL, NoSQL, HPC) and ETL processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and optimize data throughput and query performance.
• Participate in selecting backend database technologies and configuring data pipelines.
• Optimize data pipelines to support content, volume, ETL, and query responsiveness.
