Job summary

Spry Squaredis is seeking a data engineer to support ETL workflows on classified networks in Colorado Springs. The role requires active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI and hands-on work with data integration tools on secure environments.

The candidate should be proficient in Apache NiFi, REST APIs, Python, and Jupyter, with familiarity in JSON and XML. This is a strictly onsite position with confidentiality requirements and collaboration across System Administrators and Engineers.

About the job Data Engineer TOP SECRET + SCI REQ

Our client Spry Squaredis looking for a strong technical Data Engineer to join a team of highly empowered System Administrators, Developers, and Engineers to support the ETL workflows on classified data source networks (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS). Position is 100% onsite, no remote work.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Apache NiFi to develop code for establishing and testing NiFi connections on classified networks.
• Create test data, perform manual queries, condition test data, and create notional unclassified data for testing ETL workflows and coding.
• Develop XML schema and convert data to XML as necessary.
• Assess the need and extent of data transforms.

Qualifications

Must have active TOP SECRET clearance with SCI

• Required technologies: Apache NiFi, REST API, Python, Jupyter
• Preferred technologies: JSON, XML
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills to explain complex technical concepts and issues.
• Strong analytical skills in a multi-tasking environment.

Education/Training/Experience

• Bachelors degree in software engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or closely related field from an accredited university.
• Masters degree desired in same/similar fields as Bachelors.

Salary Range: $135,000-$160,000 depending on skills and experience
