Job summary

BairesDev is hiring a Data Engineer (Snowflake) to design and build scalable ELT pipelines and data models within the Snowflake Data Cloud. You will serve as a bridge between raw data sources and actionable business insights, ensuring data is transformed efficiently for high‑performance analytics.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, schemas, and quality standards, and you will optimize pipelines with Airflow and SQL.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on the modern data stack.
• Proficiency in building and optimizing ELT pipelines and data models using Snowflake.
• Proficiency in using dbt for data transformation and managing complex data models.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration and pipeline management.
• Advanced proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for data extraction.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize robust ELT workflows using Snowflake and dbt to process large-scale datasets.
• Develop and maintain modular data models, applying software engineering best practices such as version control and automated testing.
• Orchestrate complex data pipeline dependencies and schedules using Apache Airflow to ensure data freshness and reliability.
• Write and tune high-performance SQL queries and transformations to leverage Snowflake's unique architectural capabilities.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, schema designs, and quality standards for the modern data stack.
• Monitor pipeline health and performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to ensure continuous data delivery.
