Job summary

CFS Brands in Oklahoma City, OK, is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Snowflake, Matillion, and SQL-based ETL/ELT processes. You will collaborate with IT and business units to enable analytics and BI across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in data engineering, experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, and scripting (Python/PowerShell), and a strong focus on data quality, governance, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or ELT development.
• Experience with Snowflake as a data warehouse solution.
• Experience with Matillion as an ELT platform.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex SQL queries and optimizing query performance.
• Familiarity with data modeling techniques and best practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation and data transformation tasks.
• Experience acquiring data from REST and Graph APIs.
• Familiarity with and use of LLMs in Snowflake Cortex is desirable.
• Knowledge of Azure cloud architecture, storage, IAM, and best practices are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for ETL/ELT into Snowflake using Matillion.
• Optimize database performance and data storage, indexing, and retrieval.
• Collaborate with business units to understand data requirements for analytics and BI.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security with governance practices.
• Support data models for BI and reporting.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and pipelines.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines for reliability and accuracy.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies and recommend solutions.
• Support integration of structured and unstructured data sources.
• Develop scripts and queries with Python, SQL, and PowerShell.
• Other duties as assigned.
