Job summary

Amatriot Group, LLC is seeking a seasoned Data Engineer (SME) in Chantilly, VA to lead the design, build, and maintenance of data systems that support advanced analytics and visual intelligence applications.

The role focuses on scalable data pipelines, enterprise relational databases, and secure data flows, with collaboration across teams to ensure data quality and usability. A TS or higher clearance is required, and the position is largely onsite with 4 days on-site expected.

Position Overview

The Data Engineer (SME) provides expert leadership in designing, building, and maintaining data systems supporting advanced analytics and visual intelligence applications. This role develops scalable data pipelines, builds large enterprise relational databases, and ensures secure, efficient data flows across the organization. The SME integrates new data systems with existing platforms and transforms structured and semi-structured data into actionable information.

Key Responsibilities

Data Pipeline Development and Transformation

• Build and maintain data pipelines supporting visual analytics applications and high-performance data processing.
• Transform structured and semi-structured data into usable, actionable information.
• Use open-source, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technologies to support analytics and data workflows.

Database Design and Systems Integration

• Design and construct large enterprise relational databases and ensure efficient performance.
• Integrate new data systems with existing enterprise data warehouses.
• Refine system performance to support data processing and analytics needs.

Standards and Secure Data Operations

• Develop strategies, standards, and best practices for database operations, programming, and security.

Collaboration and Data Quality

• Collaborate with teams to analyze data needs and improve data quality and usability.
