Job summary

Security National Corporation is seeking a Data Engineer to support the Bank's evolving data infrastructure. This onsite role in Sioux City, IA involves building and maintaining pipelines, integrations, and automation to keep data secure, accurate, and usable for analytics and future data and AI initiatives.

You will design and implement data pipelines, support data warehouse environments, and collaborate across ERP/CRM landscapes to enable robust analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Five or more years of data engineering/analytics experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/CRM and enterprise integrations.
• Proficiency in C#, Python, JavaScript, SQL, and APIs.
• Knowledge of systems integration architectures and data flows.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Understanding of secure development and production environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and integrations across enterprise systems.
• Support the centralized data architecture, including data warehouse and analytics environments.
• Develop automated processes to extract, transform, validate, and load data.
• Ensure data solutions are reliable, scalable, and well-documented.
• Promote data integrity, process efficiency, and effective system utilization.
• Evaluate and implement technologies that improve efficiency, automation, and service delivery.
• Partner on AI-enabled solutions, including AI apps, APIs, and automation tools.
• Establish scalable standards to support future growth and innovation.
• Provide technical expertise to build a strong data and analytics function.
• Support data governance, data quality, and reporting standards.
• Maintain documentation for data sources, transformations, and reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with security, access management, audits, and regulatory requirements.
• Apply secure development practices and controls for data accuracy and integrity.
