Job Summary: A Data Engineer designs, builds, and maintains data systems for analysis and business use, including creating data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and managing databases and data infrastructure.

Duties:

1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs and develop solutions.
2. Design and implement data structures, workflows, and integrations.
3. Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs.
4. Optimize database and query performance.
5. Create and maintain data warehouses, databases, and ingestion pipelines.
6. Utilize tools and technologies such as SQL, Python, Java, Scala, cloud platforms, and ETL/ELT frameworks.
7. Write complex queries for data transformation and accessibility.
8. Work with analytics and data science teams to automate analysis and visualization.
9. Identify and resolve complex data problems.
10. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Requirements:

1. 5+ years of relevant software experience.
2. 3+ years designing complex service-oriented systems.
3. Strong experience with Databricks ecosystem.
4. Proficiency with SQL, Python, Java, Scala, and cloud platforms.
5. Experience with advanced analytics tools and databases like Hadoop, MongoDB, Cassandra, BigQuery.
6. Big Data development experience with Hive, Impala, Spark, Kafka.
7. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Compensation & Benefits: Salary range $100-120K, with health insurance, 401k, bonus, and other benefits including flexible schedules and professional development opportunities.
