Job summary

Netflix is looking for a Data Engineer to help develop and maintain large-scale data pipelines and services that support decision‑making across the organization. You will design batch and real‑time pipelines, model data for analytics, and collaborate with product, software engineering, and data science teams.

The position is based in Boise, with relocation to Los Gatos and remote work within the United States, with occasional visits to Los Gatos.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Experience building large-scale data processing systems using technologies such as Apache Spark or Flink.
• Background in data engineering, data architecture, or statistical modeling.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a data-first mindset.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and in a collaborative, fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain batch and real‑time data pipelines that deliver data to downstream analytics and product teams.
• Build and evolve the data infrastructure and data models that support enterprise‑wide analytic needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver data resources that enable business insights.
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability of data services and pipelines.
• Document data pipelines and data models for internal use.
