Job description

We are looking for a Data Engineer with strong experience in Python and IBM Infosphere DataStage. As we transition towards Snowflake, experience or interest in cloud data warehousing will be a big plus. This is a great opportunity to work remotely with a skilled, global team while contributing to exciting data projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines using IBM Infosphere DataStage and Python
• Support data migration, integration, and transformation processes
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to implement data models (Star Schema, Snowflake, Fact & Dimension tables)
• Support the team’s migration efforts towards Snowflake
• Ensure data quality, performance, and reliability across systems
• Perform data extraction, loading, and transformation (ETL) processes

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and/or similar roles.
• Python programming experience
• IBM Infosphere DataStage (versions 7.x – 11.x)
• Strong SQL and experience working with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, DB2, SQL Server)
• Proficient/advanced level of English.
• Understanding of Data Warehousing concepts (Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, Fact and Dimension tables)

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehousing platforms
• Familiarity with Data Modeling tools like Erwin or Power Designer
• Exposure to reporting tools like Cognos, Tableau, or Oracle Reports
• Basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux scripting and system navigation
