Job summary

FICO is seeking a Data Engineer to own SQL Server, Redshift, and cloud databases behind myFICO.com. You will build Python ETL/ELT pipelines, prepare data for ML/AI use cases in AWS, and tune queries to reduce latency on a high-traffic consumer site.

You will collaborate with product and marketing teams to modernize data environments and expand data-driven decision making. The role requires strong SQL Server and Redshift expertise, Python data engineering skills, and experience with AWS services,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or a related field.
Hands-on Microsoft SQL Server administration (security, backup, HA/DR).
Strong Python for data engineering (pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy or PySpark) and Jupyter notebooks.
Experience with Amazon Redshift administration and tuning.
Experience with AWS data platforms (S3, Glue, Lambda, RDS) and data security.
Experience with workflow orchestration (Airflow) and CI/CD for databases and pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate SQL Server and Redshift databases from data modeling to production support.
Develop and maintain Python ETL/ELT pipelines moving data across systems and the data warehouse.
Prepare data for ML/AI use cases in AWS and explore datasets in Jupyter notebooks.
Tune queries, indexes, and schemas to reduce latency, blocking, and deadlocks on a high-traffic site.
Collaborate with product and marketing teams to modernize data environments and support analytics decisions.
