Job summary

The University of Oregon Foundation is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, contribute to the data warehouse, and deliver trusted data for fundraising, financial, and operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or 3 years of professional data engineering experience.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Microsoft Fabric as part of data platforms.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT pipeline design experience.
• Experience with Salesforce and large data sets; ability to translate requirements to technical solutions.
• Commitment to data quality, governance, and security standards.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouse structures.
• Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI; support Alteryx workflows and related reporting tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data models and data governance.
• Ensure data quality with validation routines and exception handling; maintain documentation.
• Support accounting and analytics teams, including NetSuite transitions and ERP integrations.
