Job summary

Disney Cruise Line - The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Performance Marketing arm of the Enterprise Media and Marketing team in Burbank, CA. You will expand our data-driven marketing infrastructure with scalable data pipelines and production-grade data tools.

The role requires 3+ years building backend architectures, expertise in Spark/SQL, and a practical approach to AI/LLMs in software development.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent).
3+ years designing and delivering backend architectures in production.
Strong understanding of AI/LLMs in software development.
Experience with Spark and SQL; building data pipelines on scaled data platforms.
Ability to work in fast-paced, cross-functional teams to translate business needs into requirements.

Responsibilities

Develop suite of tools used by the Performance Marketing group.
Drive data engineering, data modeling, and architectural standards.
Create and manage end-to-end data pipelines from source to consumers and users.
Collaborate with media/marketing teams to iterate prototypes to production pipelines.
Implement quality controls and monitoring for safe ad campaign optimizations.
