Job summary

Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Altoids line within the Enterprise Data Office to support ITDM Modernization and the Enterprise Data Lakehouse (EDL).

You will design and build pipelines using Databricks and Delta Lake, develop Python and SQL transformations, and collaborate with engineers, product managers, and analysts to translate IT needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on Databricks, Delta Lake, Python and SQL experience.
• 5–8 years of relevant data engineering experience is a plus.
• Strong understanding of data quality rules and data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Design and build Databricks and Delta Lake data pipelines.
• Develop Python and SQL transformations, data models, and data-quality checks.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to translate needs into technical solutions.
• Ensure production data is accurate and available for stakeholders and processes.
