Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC in Herndon, VA is seeking a senior data engineer to join the AWS Marketplace B2B Marketing embedded data science team. You will design and operate production data pipelines for ML models and analytics, connecting product activity, marketing engagement, and revenue.

You’ll partner with data scientists, marketers, and engineers to define data contracts, ensure data quality, and deliver self-serve data assets. Onsite role with strong compensation and RSUs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipelines.
• SQL proficiency.
• Experience in Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS.
• Experience mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate production data pipelines that power ML models and analytics, including feature engineering, model scoring infrastructure, output delivery, and data quality enforcement.
• Define and own the team’s data architecture, balancing speed versus durability, cost versus scalability, and short-term delivery versus long-term maintainability.
• Build and maintain analytical datasets that join product activity, marketing engagement, customer transactions, and revenue data into query-ready models for analyses.
• Deliver well-documented, maintainable code that others can extend, establishing patterns and templates to raise the standard for data work on the team.
• Collaborate with data scientists, marketers, and cross-functional engineering teams to gather requirements, define data contracts, influence upstream data producers, and support downstream self-service.
