Job summary

Oceaneering Technologies (OTECH) seeks an experienced data engineer to design, build, and optimize data storage for unique underwater projects. You will collaborate with software developers, systems engineers, and project managers to keep data accurate, secure, and traceable throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities include relational schema design, ETL/ELT workflows, data validation, and data provenance. Proficiency with DDS, SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL/MariaDB, SQL Server or Oracle, and languages

Qualifications

• Experience designing and maintaining relational database schemas.
• Proficiency with data verification, provenance, and configuration control.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and data interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data storage systems.
• Design and maintain relational schemas, queries, data interfaces, ETL/ELT processes, and validation routines.
• Verify data integrity across system boundaries; identify and resolve anomalies.
• Support requirements traceability, logging/audit, and backup/recovery processes.
