Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Data Management, Database Specialist to lead complex data solutions, ensure data lineage, and drive migration initiatives. You will partner with vendors and Product/Software Engineering teams to implement data requirements, analyze performance, and troubleshoot system engineering issues.

The role emphasizes regulatory data lineage, ADS management, and building automated data pipelines while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring on-time delivery within a strong data

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of applicable experience.
  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS: Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 LUW or Oracle.
  • Data lineage and ADS sourcing management experience.
  • Experience with database migrations.
  • ETL experience, especially Informatica.
  • Best practices in regulated environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leads story refinement and delivery of requirements through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Codes complex data integration, transformation, and data quality controls.
  • Leads documentation of system requirements and engages with cross-functional teams.
  • Leads testing teams; develops test plans and analyzes results.
  • Collaborates with partners to ensure data standards adherence and problem solving.
  • Manages data pipelines enabling data-informed decision making.
  • Mentors Data Engineers and monitors KPIs.
  • Responsible for ADS management and data lineage for regulatory reporting.
  • Creates automation and scripts for data migration, reconciliation and integrity checks.
  • Works with database architects, security teams to resolve issues and execute migrations.
  • Supports cutover and post-migration stabilization.

Job Description

This job is responsible for driving efforts to develop and deliver complex data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Key responsibilities include leading code design and delivery tasks with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytical data systems. Job expectations include liaising with vendors and working with stakeholders and Product and Software Engineering teams to implement data requirements, analyzing performance, and researching and troubleshooting issues within system engineering domains.

Position Summary

The Data Management, Database Specialist will help execute regulatory project requiring data lineage while also driving key data platform migration initiatives. This employee will also work in projects that involve data migration, intensive testing, and security/compliance assurance related to data projects.

Responsibilities
  • Leads story refinement and delivery of requirements through the delivery lifecycle and assists team members in resolving technical complexities
  • Codes complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data, builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency, and workload management, assembles complex data sets, and communicates required information for deployment
  • Leads documentation of system requirements, collaborates with development teams to understand data requirements and feasibility, and leverages architectural components to develop client requirements
  • Leads testing teams to develop test plans, contributes to existing test suites including integration, regression, and performance, analyzes test reports, identifies test issues and errors, and leads triage of underlying causes
  • Leads work efforts with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data management standards adherence, negotiates paths forward by thinking outside the box to identify and communicate solutions to complex problems, and leverages knowledge of information systems, techniques, and processes
  • Leads complex information technology projects to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to release processes and risk management and defines and builds data pipelines to enable data-informed decision making
  • Mentors Data Engineers to enable continuous development and monitors key performance indicators and internal controls
  • Authoritative Data Sourcing (ADS) management.
  • Regulatory reporting data lineage
  • Create automation, write scripts to perform functionality, reconciliation.
  • Create automation, write scripts to facilitate data migration, reconciliation, and integrity validation.
  • Work closely with database architects, database developers, application and security teams to resolve issues.
  • Execute database migration projects.
  • Support cutover execution and post-migration stabilization.
Required Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of applicable experience
  • Strong hands-on experience with RDBMS, on Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 (LUW) or Oracle database platforms.
  • Data Lineage and ADS sourcing management experience
  • Experience with database migrations.
  • Experience working with ETL tools especially Informatica.

$104,000.00 - $157,700.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set.

Discretionary incentive eligible
