Job summary

Bank of America is seeking a Data Management, Database Specialist to drive data lineage initiatives, platform migrations, and regulatory projects across operational and analytical systems.

You will design and implement complex data integration and migration pipelines, ensure data quality, document requirements, mentor data engineers, and drive on-time delivery within compliance.

Qualifications

  • 7–10 years of applicable experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with RDBMS such as Sybase ASE, IBM DB2 LUW, or Oracle.
  • Data lineage and ADS sourcing management experience.
  • Experience with database migrations.
  • Experience with ETL tools, especially Informatica.
  • Preferred experience in regulated environments and best-practice implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead story refinement and delivery of requirements throughout the delivery lifecycle, and resolve technical complexities with team members.
  • Design and code complex solutions to integrate, clean, transform, and control data, building processes that support data transformation, structures, metadata, quality controls, dependencies, and workload management.
  • Document system requirements, collaborate with development teams, and leverage architectural components to meet client and feasibility constraints.
  • Lead testing teams to develop test plans, contribute to integration, regression, and performance test suites, analyze reports, identify issues, and triage root causes.
  • Collaborate with technology partners and stakeholders to close gaps in data‑management standards, negotiate solutions, and communicate complex problem resolutions.
  • Lead complex IT projects to assure on‑time delivery, adherence to release processes, risk management, and compliance.
  • Define and build data pipelines enabling data‑informed decision‑making.
  • Mentor Data Engineers, monitor key performance indicators, and enforce internal controls.
  • Manage Authoritative Data Sourcing (ADS) and regulatory reporting data lineage.
  • Create automation scripts for functionality, reconciliation, data migration, and integrity validation.
  • Work with database architects, developers, application, and security teams to resolve issues.
  • Execute database migration projects, support cutover execution, and post‑migration stabilization.
