You will design and maintain automated data architectures, build ETL pipelines with AWS tools, and collaborate with BI Engineers, Data Scientists, and Learning Scientists to answer questions about how people learn and grow at Amazon.

This greenfield project offers high visibility and impact, with full lifecycle ownership from design to operations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years of ETL/ELT for BI analytics.
• 1+ years of OLAP data structures for BI analytics.
• 1+ years of data modeling experience.
• 1+ years of SQL experience.
• 1+ years of Oracle experience.
• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in CS, Engineering, IS, Mathematics, or related field.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and ETL pipelines.
• Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions.
• Experience with non-relational databases/data stores.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and translate into scalable data architecture.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation of next generation data solutions.
• Manage AWS resources including S3, Athena, Batch, Lambda.
• Optimize automated processes for performance and fault tolerance.
• Support ad-hoc analyses across data sources.
• Collaborate with BI Engineers, Software Engineers, and cross-functionally to deliver quality data pipelines.
• Make large datasets accessible and usable by applications and teams.
