Job summary

TekWissen® Group seeks an experienced Data Engineer to design data models, build ETL pipelines, and work with distributed systems to support analytics. You will collaborate with users and technical teams to gather requirements and shape data engineering strategy, following best practices across the software lifecycle.

You should have 5+ years in data engineering, proficiency in Java and at least one scripting language, and hands-on experience with AWS, ElasticSearch, and big data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language (Python, Java, Scala, NodeJS).
• Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe data modeling decisions and data engineering strategy.
• Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing.
• Experience with SDLC best practices: coding standards, architectures, code reviews, source control, CI/CD, testing, and operations.
• Experience with data infrastructures: relational analytic DBMS, ElasticSearch, and Big Data EMR/EC2/Glue/Lambda.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement data models for analytics and BI.
• Build and maintain robust ETL pipelines for data movement.
• Collaborate with users and teams to collect requirements and define data strategies.
• Apply SDLC best practices: code reviews, version control, testing, and deployment.
• Work with distributed storage and computing systems for scalable data processing.
• Utilize ElasticSearch and AWS data services to support analytics workloads.
