Job summary

FastTek Global is seeking a Data Engineering Engineer 2 to design, build, and maintain data infrastructure supporting large-scale data collection and analysis in Dearborn, Michigan. The role focuses on scalable data pipelines, data models, and platforms, with emphasis on reliable performance and advanced data processing capabilities.

The candidate will collaborate with stakeholders, implement data ingestion and wrangling processes, and leverage cloud services (GCP) and AI-enabled development

Qualifications

• Design, build and maintain data infrastructure for collecting, storing, processing and analyzing large volumes of data.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools and cloud AI services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements.
• Design, build and maintain scalable data infrastructure for data collection, storage, transformation, and analysis.
• Plan and maintain data pipelines, models, and applications for efficient data workflow.
• Develop data platforms like data warehouses and data lakes for structured and unstructured data.
• Develop analytical tools and scripts to automate data engineering tasks.
• Improve performance and identify opportunities; experience with data ingestion and data wrangling, BigQuery is desirable.
