Job summary

TransMarket Group is seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team in Chicago. You will design, build, and maintain production-quality data pipelines, supporting trading operations, reporting, and research.

The role emphasizes ownership, collaboration with traders and engineers, and exposure to Python, SQL, Linux, APIs, and data modeling within a fast-paced proprietary trading environment. You will collaborate with technology, software, trading, and accounting/finance teams to

Qualifications

BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Proficiency with SQL and relational database design.
Comfort working in a Linux environment.
Source control with Git.
Knowledge of RESTful API design.
Docker/containerization.

Responsibilities

Work with senior developers to assist in and learn all facets of data engineering and development applied to the business.
Develop, code, maintain, and support production-quality components for global proprietary trading.
Develop expertise in data engineering principles, Python, SQL, and high-performance finance systems.
Collaborate with technology, software, trading, business, and accounting/finance teams.
