True Anomaly seeks a Data Engineer I to join our team and build real-world data systems in a fast-paced startup. You should be comfortable with Python, SQL, and modern cloud data platforms, delivering data products and pipelines while learning from senior engineers.

We value curiosity, initiative, and the ability to work collaboratively. This role is onsite in Denver or Long Beach, with hybrid considerations and visa sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience in data engineering or software engineering.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data science or related field.
• Excellent Python programming skills and knowledge of SQL.
• Strong problem-solving skills and curiosity; quick learner.
• Willing to thrive in a fast-paced startup with ambiguity.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and data products using Python, SQL and cloud data platforms.
• Develop, test and troubleshoot data ingestion, transformations and workflows.
• Apply software engineering practices including Git, testing, and CI/CD.
• Leverage AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
