Job summary

Amazon Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design and deliver production-ready data systems that influence how Amazon moves products globally. You will oversee scalable ETL pipelines and CI/CD, manage data platforms on AWS, and collaborate with BI Engineers and Product Managers on data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes building robust data architectures, data quality, and self-service analytics for internal stakeholders, with exposure to Gen-AI tools like AWS Bedrock.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, IS, Mathematics, or related field.
• 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• 1+ years building large-scale BI data structures with ETL/ELT.
• 1+ years building BI data structures with OLAP tech.
• 1+ years data modeling, warehousing, and SQL experience.
• 1+ years Oracle experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL pipelines and CI/CD to support reporting.
• Manage data platforms on AWS including Redshift, Kinesis, S3, and Lambda.
• Develop and improve data architecture, data quality monitoring, and data availability.
• Build and experiment with Gen-AI tools such as AWS Bedrock.
• Partner with BI Engineers, Product Managers, and other data roles to enable data-driven decisions.
• Develop scalable frameworks for data instrumentation with partner teams.
• Continuously improve self-service reporting and analysis for internal customers.
