PlusAI is seeking a data-focused software engineer to build and optimize data pipelines and analytics infrastructure. You will implement ETL workloads using Python, SQL, and big data technologies, while ensuring scalable design and secure data handling across multiple AWS regions.

The role emphasizes collaboration with Executive, Engineering, and Operations teams, translating complex data into actionable insights for business performance metrics.

Qualifications

• MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 0+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, microservices, databases, data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data models, database design and development, data mining and segmentation.
• Experience with large-scale data processing (MapReduce, Spark, Kafka).
• Experience with AWS core technologies (S3, EC2, RDS).
• Extensive software design and development skills.
• Able to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Experience with reporting packages.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain optimal data processing pipeline architecture.
• Build the infrastructure for ETL using SQL and big data tools.
• Identify and implement internal process improvements for scalability.
• Build analytics tools to derive insights on customer acquisition and operations.
• Interpret data, perform statistical analysis, and provide reports.
• Identify trends in complex data sets and communicate findings.
• Collaborate with Exec, Eng, and Ops teams on data needs and issues.
• Maintain data security across multiple data centers and AWS regions.
