Job description

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Data Engineer (ETL/SQL/Pyspark) with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 24+ month contract position.

Responsibilities:

1. Support the development of ETL pipelines using the PySpark framework.
2. Perform deep SQL development and optimization to support data transformation and ingestion activities.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to gather and clarify business and technical requirements.
4. Review, analyze, and troubleshoot moderately complex data engineering challenges.
5. Participate in the design, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines.
6. Ensure solutions meet compliance, data governance, and security requirements.
7. Document processes, data flows, and solutions clearly for cross-functional teams.
8. Contribute to large-scale planning efforts and initiatives related to software engineering deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

1. 4+ years of software engineering experience, or equivalent (work, consulting experience, training, military, or education).
2. Strong experience developing ETL pipelines using PySpark.
3. Deep expertise in SQL (development, optimization, and troubleshooting).
4. Experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.
5. Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance in data engineering projects.
6. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).

Pay Range:

$44 - $54
