Job summary

PiTech Solutions Inc. is seeking a Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure, leading the migration from legacy systems to a modernized platform while ensuring data governance adherence.

You will optimize MS SQL Server schemas and queries, document data mappings, collaborate with SMEs for sign-off, and support CI/CD data-layer test automation within an Agile SCRUM environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years designing and implementing ETL pipelines with SSIS or equivalent.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server including schema design and indexing.
• Experience in data mapping and migration on enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication; clear data transformation docs.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement ETL pipelines using SSIS for legacy to modern systems.
• Define data mappings, transformations, and validation rules.
• Collaborate with SMEs to validate mappings and achieve high sign-off.
• Build and maintain a Data Dictionary and ER diagrams.
• Optimize SQL Server schemas, queries, and indexes for performance.
• Design data interfaces including Spartan and EODIMS integrations.
• Ensure compliance with Data Governance Manual and API standards.
• Monitor ETL executions and document results per sprint.
• Support CI/CD data-layer test automation and link ETL to user stories.
• Participate in SCRUM ceremonies
