Job summary

World Wide Professional Solutions is seeking a data engineer to design and optimize data pipelines, moving data from ERP and scheduling systems into centralized stores. You’ll collaborate with BI teams to ensure robust data models for timely insights and govern data quality across warehouses and lakes.

The role emphasizes ETL automation, DevOps practices, and mentoring junior engineers, with travel up to 25% as projects require onsite collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
3–5 years of experience in construction coordination or project management.
LEAN construction practices knowledge; OSHA 10/30 preferred.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using Azure Data Factory, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric.
Develop robust ETL processes moving data from ERP, scheduling, and cost management into centralized stores.
Collaborate with BI teams to ensure Power BI has proper data structures for insights.
Maintain data integrity, accuracy, and performance in data warehouses and lakes.
Document data architecture, data flows, and lineage; promote data governance and security.
Automate recurring data workflows with CI/CD and version control.
Monitor pipelines for performance and quality; resolve issues with operations and analytics.
Mentor junior data engineers and stay updated on new data engineering technologies.
