Job summary

KBR is seeking a Data Engineer to enable data-driven decision analysis for DoD modernization. You will apply data science, ML, and operations research methods to develop robust testing and evaluation capabilities, and work with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights.

The role requires hands-on experience with big data tools, scripting languages, and interactive visualization, with a focus on delivering reproducible analytics in a secure environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in big data analytics.
• Experience with Python and R for data analysis and visualization.
• Strong background in ETL and building large data pipelines.
• Proficient in SQL and distributed storage/compute (Spark, Hadoop, Hive).
• Ability to communicate findings to customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop data-driven decision analysis products using data science methods.
• Provide analytic consulting, promote best practices, and support analytic workflow.
• Operate CHEETAS tools and demonstrate capabilities to stakeholders and VIPs.
• Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, and system admins to deliver insights.
• Translate data insights into actionable recommendations for DoD datasets.
