Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Data Engineer to design and maintain robust data pipelines and architectures for the Digital Solutions Finance team. You will leverage Databricks and Google Cloud Platform to ingest, process, and transform large-scale datasets to support finance stakeholders.

The role requires strong SQL and programming skills (Python/Scala/Java) and experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing concepts.

Qualifications

  • 4-8 years of experience, preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python, Scala, or Java).
  • Hands-on experience developing data solutions using Databricks, preferred
  • Solid experience working within the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, particularly with BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM.
  • Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehouse concepts.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver projects of varying difficulty.

The Data & Analytics Function oversees the analytics life-cycle in order to identify, analyze and present relevant insights that drive business decisions and anticipate opportunities to achieve a competitive advantage. This function manages analytic data platforms, the access, design and implementation of reporting/business intelligence solutions, and the application of advanced quantitative modeling. Data Engineering ensures raw data is usable and accessible for the organization. Data Engineering encompasses numerous specialties of data acquisition, integration, and provisioning.

Job Overview

As a Data Engineer within the Digital Solutions Finance team, you will design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and architecture to support analytical and operational requirements for Finance stakeholders. You will specialize in leveraging Databricks and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to ingest, process, and transform large-scale datasets. This role requires a strong technical foundation in data engineering, cloud-based data warehouses, and collaborative problem-solving to build reliable, scalable, and secure data solutions.

Anticipated salary range: $94,900 - $122,400
