Marlabs, a global AI and Digital Solutions Consulting firm, seeks a Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize cloud-based data solutions in Azure, using Python, SQL, and modern data platforms to support analytics, reporting and BI initiatives.

The role emphasizes data pipeline development, data integration, governance, and modern architectures including Lakehouse and Microsoft Fabric adoption, collaborating with architects, analysts and engineers to deliver trusted, enterprise-grade data

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering and building enterprise data platforms.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with complex transformations and large-scale processing.
• Hands-on Azure data services including Data Factory, Synapse, Storage, Databricks.
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses, and cloud analytics environments.
• Knowledge of data modeling, governance, and modern data architectures (Lakehouse).
• Preferred: experience with Microsoft Fabric and regulated data environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows for enterprise reporting and analytics.
• Build and optimize data transformations using Python and SQL for large, complex datasets.
• Integrate data from multiple sources while ensuring quality, lineage, and reliability across the platform.
• Develop and support cloud-based data solutions within Azure and leverage modern data services.
• Contribute to data platform modernization, including Microsoft Fabric and Lakehouse architectures.
• Collaborate with architects, analysts, stakeholders, and engineering teams to deliver trusted data solutions.
• Optimize data models and storage for high-volume analytics and reporting workloads.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and platform issues while enforcing governance and security.
