Job summary

Apple is seeking a Data Engineer for the Ad Platforms Data team in Austin, TX. You will build high-performance data stores and analytical data pipelines supporting customer experiences and advertising analytics.

You will work with architects, engineers, analysts, data scientists, and business users to design data models, pipelines, and cloud-based warehouses, ensuring privacy, security, and scale.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Cloud Data Engineering experience, CS/Math background or related field.
• Expertise building Cloud Data Warehouses in Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery or equivalents.
• Deep SQL, data modeling, and data governance experience.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and frameworks.
• Experience using Python, Spark, Talend, Informatica, SSIS or DBT for data pipelines.
• Design data platforms with security, scale, uptime, and reliability in mind.
• Ability to clearly communicate technical concepts to partners and stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in a technical field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data model and infrastructure, identify gaps and improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering to support analytics and reporting systems.
• Work with product and analytics teams on data system needs.
• Automate and optimize data processing tasks and patterns.
