Job summary

Salt Dental Partners is seeking a Data Engineer to design and optimize the enterprise data platform powering analytics, automation, and decision-making. You will build scalable pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and ensure data quality and security across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in data engineering, strong SQL and ETL/ELT skills, and experience with cloud data platforms such as Azure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related field.
• 4+ years in data engineering, integration engineering, or data platform roles.
• Strong SQL development, data transformation, and performance optimization.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines and orchestration.
• Experience with cloud data platforms, warehouses, lakehouse architectures, and modern analytics.
• Familiarity with REST APIs, secure integration patterns, and source control.
• Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages.
• Healthcare or regulated industry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise data pipelines and integrations.
• Build scalable ETL/ELT processes for analytic and operational workloads.
• Develop ingestion patterns for cloud apps, on-prem systems, files, and external sources.
• Support data warehouse, lakehouse, and related platform services.
• Collaborate with BI developers to improve model usability and reporting.
• Maintain data governance, quality, lineage, and security practices.
