LMI Government Consulting seeks a Data Engineer to develop, test, maintain, and augment data pipelines and databases for a DoD supply chain risk program. An active Secret Clearance is required. The role is based near Tysons, VA, with on-site support expected in the DC metro area.

Responsibilities include building PySpark pipelines, coordinating with SMEs and frontend developers, and integrating external data via APIs. Strong analytics and problem solving are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 3–10 years of data engineering experience.
  • Experience with Agile-based development.
  • Proficient in Python, Spark, and notebooks.
  • Databricks or similar environment experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance (Top Secret desired).
  • Based in the Washington, DC metro area or commutable for on-site support.

Responsibilities

  • Set up segmented databases to control access to datasets and data products.
  • Build data pipelines in PySpark with testing, validation, automation, and version control.
  • Coordinate with SMEs and front-end developers to generate data tables for UI.
  • Develop code to pull data from APIs into the client environment.
  • Engage with partners to understand data holdings and data usage agreements.
  • Self-starter who works well in a team environment.

LMI is seeking a Data Engineer to develop, test, maintain, and augment data pipelines and database setups in support of a supply chain risk program for the Department of Defense. This position requires an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Set up segmented databases to control access to various datasets and data products
  • Build data pipelines in PySpark using data engineering best practices for testing, validation, automation, and version control
  • Coordinate closely with SMEs and front-end developers to generate data tables required for UI execution
  • Build code to execute pulls from APIs, allowing access to external data to be pulled into the client environment
  • Interact with partners and data providers to understand their data holdings, methods for moving data into the CDAO-Advana platform, and data usage agreements
  • Self-starter, and eager to learn and work in a team environment
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3-10 years of experience as a data engineer
  • Experience with:
    • Agile-based development
    • Python, Spark, notebooks
    • Data Bricks or similar environment
  • Effective analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required (Top Secret desired)
  • Located in the Washington, DC metro area (or commutable area for periodic on-site client support)

Target salary range: $110,000 - $130,000
