Job summary

Pacer Group in Newark, NJ is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for the CDO Data Tech department to join a diverse team delivering enterprise data solutions. You will partner with ML Engineers, Data Scientists, and business units to enable data-driven decision making.

The role focuses on building scalable pipelines in Azure (Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse) using Python, Spark, and SQL, and developing CI/CD with Terraform and GitHub. This is a hybrid, 17.5‑month contract based in Newark.

Qualifications

• Must-have experience with enterprise data lakes/pipelines on Azure.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Spark and SQL for data ingestion and processing.

Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining architecture and code for enterprise data lakes and pipelines.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure services, Data Factory, ADLS Gen2, Synapse Analytics, Synapse Database, and KQL.
• Programming with Python, Spark, and SQL for data ingestion, storage, integration, and processing.
• Participate in architecture and system design discussions to optimize performance of high-scale data services.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines using Terraform and GitHub and resolve performance issues.
