Description

NOTE: This is a full-time employment opportunity (No C2C, subcontractor or 1099 engagements, please). The candidate MUST be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card) and be able to complete/pass/maintain a public trust background investigation. This is a remote opportunity with preference given to candidates local to the DMV (DC/MD/VA) metro area with ET time zone work schedule.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Work and support federal health agencies to develop next-generation analytics and reporting systems to directly impact healthcare quality.
  • Work and collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand and gather data requirements.
  • Build critical BI dashboards.
  • Train business users to use self-service tools (e.g., BI dashboards).
  • Maintain data documentation and definitions.
  • Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code.
  • Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident, as mandated by our government client.
  • Must be able to complete/pass/maintain a public trust investigation.
  • Although this position is remote, preference is given to candidates local to the DC/MD/VA metro area.
  • 5 -7+ years’ experience as a Data Scientist with strong Business Intelligence, SQL, statistics, and Python knowledge to rapidly turn data into insights.
  • Must have AWS Cloud experience.
  • Must have Databrick experience.
  • Must have healthcare domain experience primarily with claims data.
  • Expert skills with SQL and basic statistics.
  • Intermediate expertise in Python programming.
  • Good coding skills.
  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline. Additional ten (10) years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS/BA degree.

Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The annual salary range for this position is $85,900-$120,000.
