The Northleon Company—a forward-thinking holding company overseeing multiple ventures across investments, media, real estate, and healthcare—is seeking a sharp, resourceful Data Engineer & Automation Specialist to join our lean core team.

This is not your typical data role. You’ll work directly with the founder and leadership team to build the technical and automation backbone of several dynamic ventures under the Northleon umbrella. From data integration across internal systems to automating digital workflows and AI tools, you’ll help us scale efficiently and intelligently.

What are the job requirements?

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support automation across CRM, content, reporting, and communication platforms.
• Integrate and optimize tools such as HubSpot, Notion, Google Suite, Slack, and others into an intelligent, automated ecosystem.
• Leverage APIs, no-code/low-code tools (e.g., Zapier, Make, n8n), and Python scripts for process automation and system orchestration.
• Create AI-powered workflows to streamline business operations (e.g., data enrichment, chatbot integrations, content generation).
• Maintain robust documentation and support internal training and onboarding as new automations are deployed.

Must-Have Skills:

• Python and SQL (strong understanding of scripting and data manipulation)
• Workflow automation tools (e.g., Zapier, Make/Integromat, n8n)
• API integrations and third-party platform connectivity
• Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, or equivalent)
• Familiarity with Notion, Airtable, or similar productivity/database tools
• Systems thinking with an obsession for efficiency

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with AI tools like OpenAI, RunwayML, or other AI models
• Working knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• Understanding of SaaS architecture or startup scaling

Experience levels: Beginner (1 - 3 yrs), Intermediate (3 - 5 yrs)
