Job summary

Delta Airlines Data Engineer position within the Operations Analysis and Performance (OAP) department focuses on making data accessible, organized, and ready for reporting to drive strategic insights and continuous improvement. You will organize source data, generate automated reports, and collaborate across business units to identify optimal data sources.

Responsibilities

• Find and extract data from various sources for use in research, models and project development. Cleanse and organize data streams by analyzing data sources and collaborating with other business units to identify the best data sources, aggregating insights into actionable levels.
• Knowledge of data environments and collaboration to improve reporting and automated analysis in support of division managers and business units.
• Use emerging technologies and carefully identify effective and efficient ways to communicate data and research to meet the needs of the department.
• Maintenance process support and project management input for each business unit and divisional strategy
• Train and guide other team members in different areas and skills
• Establish safety practices in all work processes and procedures
• Have a team-first attitude and the success of our team and business partners as a priority
